And we can’t think of a better way to celebrate this milestone than sharing it recently has been awarded a 2018 Platinum dotCOMM Award from the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals.
This global award is the highest honor given by the association and showcases our blog’s excellence in web creativity and digital communication. The recognition also signifies to you (our clients) and competitors that our work is among the best in the healthcare industry.
We launched Your Nursing Recruitment Resource in August 2017 to educate you about the latest recruitment and retention trends and how to improve your nurse targeting strategy through multi-channel marketing.

Speaking of awards, it’s been quite an exciting year for our team.

Digital edition content marketing awards
#1 The Awards for Publication Excellence (APEX) presented us with a Grand Award in its Best Ads/Advertorials — Design & Illustration category for our Huggies – 1 in 3 U.S. families are in diaper need article, which appeared in our DAISY digital edition. This is the highest honor you can win for APEX. The article features a SlideShare with facts about diapers and an animated callout to a related blog post.
“One in three U.S. families are unable to provide fresh, clean diapers for their babies, an issue nurses see nearly every day in their work,” Aric Melzl, general manager of Huggies Healthcare, said in a press release. “By providing nurses with ways to alleviate diaper needs, both in and out of the hospital, we are helping ensure every baby and their families are armed with the tools and resources they need to thrive.”
#2 The National Association of Healthcare Recruiters presented us with the NAHCR Media Award for our DAISY digital edition, DAISY Brings Meaningful Recognition to Nurses. This award recognizes individuals of the media who most positively portray the contributions of healthcare professionals to the general public. This exciting award recognizes our partnership with DAISY, which allows us to continue to celebrate nursing excellence. The proceeds from this digital edition allowed us to donate $2,000 to the DAISY Foundation to fund research grants.
#3 The Content Marketing Institute named our How to Navigate Nursing Ethics digital edition a finalist for Best Healthcare/Medical Publication. The CMI awards are one of the largest and long-running international content marketing awards in the world. This recognition showcases how our editorial and design come together to maximize the communication goals in this specific niche industry.
“I’m wowed by the quality of entries in this year’s Content Marketing Awards,” Stephanie Stahl, general manager, Content Marketing Institute, said in a press release. “The level of innovation and creativity is truly inspiring. #4 We also received an APEX Award of Excellence for our How to Navigate Nursing Ethics digital edition in the Electronic Media – Electronic Publications category. This is the very first digital edition we created and one of our most popular topics with our nursing audience.
#5 The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals also presented us with a Gold Award in their Hermes Creative Awards for our DAISY digital edition, DAISY Brings Meaningful Recognition to Nurses. The international award recognizes the concept, writing and design of this digital edition, which celebrates nursing excellence.
#6 The American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors honored us with a Gold Award for our “Here’s how you really feel” digital edition infographic. This animated infographic showcases data we compiled through a job satisfaction survey of our nursing audience. Gold is the highest award level given by ASHPE and recognizes excellence in the healthcare publication field across the U.S.

#1 The Content Marketing Institute named our blog a finalist for Best Multi-Author. This is exciting because it demonstrates the power of our thought leadership provided by our monthly nurse contributors — Robert G. Hess Jr., PhD, RN, FAAN (careers and jobs), Eileen Williamson, MSN, RN (leadership), Jennifer Mensik, PhD, RN, FAAN (education), and Nancy J. Brent, MS, JD, RN (legal information, such as licensure) — as well as guest bloggers such as Susan B. This was our top performing blog post in 2017 and is our fourth most viewed blog post in 2018. This timely topic sparked a lot of conversation among RNs (and others) at all education levels. This award shows how we continue to successfully address news topics important to our audience.
#3 The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals also presented us with a Gold Award in their Hermes Creative Awards for our blog overall. The international award recognizes the concept, writing and design of our blog, which was recently re-designed to be more user friendly and intuitive. The award indicates our site is not only reliable, but also an asset to our audience.
